This appliance has been designed to be used with tap water.

What type of water should I avoid using?

Do not use perfumed water, water from the tumble dryer, vinegar, starch, descaling agents, ironing aids, chemically descaled water or other chemicals, as they may cause water spitting, brown staining or damage to your appliance.

What should I do before using the steam generator iron for the first time?

For first time use, we recommend you to place the iron on the ironing board before you turn on the appliance for optimum performance.

Why does the steam generator iron make a sound during operation?

There will be sound from the base of your product due to the water being pumped for steam generation.

What do the blue and white iron ready lights mean?

The 'iron ready' light can light up steadily in either blue or white, corresponding to the level of temperature/steam needed (normal and high for the respective light), based on the fabric detected.

What types of fabrics can I iron?

Fabrics with the ironable symbols are ironable, for example:
- Linen
- Cotton
- Polyester
- Silk
- Wool
- Viscose
- Rayon

Note: Do not iron on prints, even if the fabric around is ironable.

How should I iron delicate fabrics?

For certain delicate fabric and finishing (e.g: suede, velvet, metallic weaving, sequins), it is recommended to steam a short distance above the garment.

What types of fabrics cannot be ironed?

Fabrics with the non-ironable symbol are not ironable.

These fabrics include synthetic fabrics such as Spandex or elastane, Spandex-mixed fabrics and polyolefins.

Can I control the steam manually during ironing?

You can control the amount of steam manually during ironing by turning off the intelligent automatic steam mode.

Can I use the steam generator iron for vertical ironing?

You can use the iron in vertical position to remove wrinkles from hanging fabrics.

Can I use intelligent automatic steam mode for vertical ironing?

For your safety, the intelligent automatic steam mode is not available for vertical ironing.

What safety precautions should I follow during vertical ironing?

Hot steam is emitted from the iron.

Never attempt to remove creases from a garment that someone is wearing.

Do not apply steam near your or someone else's hand.
