Ceiling Fans – Stay Cool & Save Energy
Ceiling fans are an essential addition to any home in Singapore, providing efficient cooling, energy savings, and stylish designs that complement modern interiors. Whether you need a basic ceiling fan for air circulation or a smart ceiling fan with app control, we offer a wide selection to suit different room sizes and aesthetic preferences.
Types of Ceiling Fan Motors: AC vs. DC vs. EC
When selecting a ceiling fan, one of the most important factors to consider is the motor type, as it affects energy efficiency, performance, and noise levels.
AC (Alternating Current) Motors – The traditional motor type found in older ceiling fans. AC fans are generally more affordable but consume more electricity compared to newer motor technologies.
DC (Direct Current) Motors – A more energy-efficient option that operates with lower power consumption and quieter performance. Ceiling Fans with a DC Motor are eligible for Climate Vouchers; however, please note that these vouchers are only redeemable in our physical retail stores and not for online purchases.
EC (Electronically Commutated) Motors – The latest advancement in ceiling fan technology, combining the benefits of both AC and DC motors with superior energy efficiency and better airflow control.
How to Choose the Right Ceiling Fan?
Selecting the wrong ceiling fan can result in poor airflow, wobbling, or inadequate cooling. To ensure maximum comfort, consider the following:
Room Size & Blade Span – Larger rooms require bigger ceiling fans for effective air circulation, while smaller rooms can use 42” or compact ceiling fans. If the room is overly small, such as a utility room, it may be more practical to install a wall fan instead of a ceiling fan. Feel free to contact us if you’re unsure which fan size is best for your space.
Clearance Requirement – Proper clearance ensures optimal airflow and safe installation:
- Minimum 60cm clearance horizontally from the blade tip to the nearest wall.
- Minimum 22cm clearance from the blade to the ceiling.
- Ensure sufficient clearance from blade tips to ceiling fixtures such as false ceilings, L-boxes, and beams to prevent obstructions.

Additional Features – Consider LED lighting integration, smart controls, and reversible airflow settings to enhance usability and convenience.
