The secret to long-lasting freshness is reduced oxygen levels. Hitachi’s original preservation extracts air to maintain approx. 0.8 atm* of vacuum preservation. With unique Platinum Catalyst, chilled meat, fish and dairy products are kept fresh and nutritious, and ready.

*Vacuum is a state of lower pressure than atmospheric pressure. The pressure inside vacuum compartment is approximately 0.8 atmospheres, which is lower than atmospheric pressure, so Hitachi calls it a vacuum.

The uniquely-designed compartment sustains freshness and nutrients of the vegetables and fruits with Platinum Catalyst. In addition, the improved airtight seal of compartment increases and controls humidity.*

Tested model R-HXCC62X(equivalent performance to R-HW620/HW540,HV490WS).When storing approx. 1.8kg of vegetables in the Aero-care Vege Compartment (Lower case) at a room temperature of approx. 20°C for 10 days without wrapping or opening/closing the door, the humidity inside the refrigerator will be 62-96%. Humidity varies depending on the amount and type of food being stored, freshness, and operating conditions of the refrigerator. The effect may differ depending on food types, condition, and quantity.

Aluminium Tray and Sensor Helps Automatically Delicious Freeze

Aluminium tray helps food temperature pass quickly through “Maximum Ice Crystal Formation Zone (-1°C to -5°C )” and freezes food faster. This can suppress the growth of ice crystals and suppress damage to the food cells.
