What items should not be placed in the dishwasher?
Avoid placing the following items in the dishwasher:
• Tempered glassware
• Lightweight items
• Non-heat-resistant items
• Fragile or damaged tableware
• Items with small openings
• Items prone to rust or discolouration

Why is dishwasher detergent powder still left after a wash?
Dishwasher powder can sometimes remain undissolved if it has become damp or clumped together.
Check the detergent before adding it to the dishwasher. If the powder has formed lumps, break them apart before use. Keep dishwasher detergent sealed and stored somewhere dry to help prevent moisture from affecting it.
Why do my glasses turn white or cloudy in the dishwasher?
White or opaque glassware can sometimes be caused by minor surface imperfections being revealed or affected during washing.
If the glassware is otherwise dishwasher-safe, the manual recommends using more dishwasher detergent or selecting the Intensive programme.
However, persistent cloudiness can also be related to the glassware itself, so always check whether the manufacturer states that the item is dishwasher-safe.
Why does my tableware turn yellow or black after dishwashing?
Yellow or black discolouration may be caused by tea stains or chemical reactions involving iron compounds in the water.
The manual recommends wiping affected tableware manually and more frequently if this occurs.
